FIBROBLAST PLASMA THERAPY

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Plasma Pen by Louise Walsh International is a revolutionary treatment which delivers incredible, long lasting results all without the need of suturing, scalpels, general anaesthetic or costly invasive cosmetic surgery. It tightens, lifts and shrinks excess skin with instant results improving over the following couple of weeks. Fantastic results can be achieved on areas such as eyelids, under eyes, neck and above and below the lips.

The hand held device delivers a plasma flash from the tip to the skin creating a series of tiny brown spots in the desired area which then causes the skin to contract instantly and further during the healing process resulting in the reduction of the excess skin.

WHAT ARE THE RESULTS?

Excess skin around the eyes is massively reduced (eyelids, eyebags and crow's feet), excess skin on the neck can be treated with fantastic results, excess skin around the jawline is tightened and
any 'static' lines (lines at rest) can also be treated successfully. Results can last up to 2-3 years following this treatment. In some cases a second or third treatment may be required after 12 weeks which would be discussed during consultation and follow-up.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

Following Plasma treatment, tiny dark brown/black spots will appear or there may be an appearance more typical of a mild burn within the treatment area(s). Swelling is common and often lasts 48-72 hours and can be quite significant around the eyes, in particular. The area will often be red and warm immediately after the procedure and tender for up to 72 hours. Patients may experience a tingling or burning sensation.

Crusting or a scab will develop and it is important to keep this clean, dry and protected. Sometimes the area can be sloughy. It is important not to mess with the treatment area for at least 5-7days post procedure to allow the body to heal and finish the treatment maximising the effects furthermore.
